Setup Requirements:

• Download and Install .Net 9.0: https://dotnet.microsoft.com/en-us/download/dotnet/9.0
• InterestTracker PrinterHub Service: Make sure the PrinterHub service is running on your local machine

Installation Guide for Mac OS

• Download for macOS: https://app.interesttracker.org/InterestTracker-PrinterHub-1.0.0.dmg
• Installation for macOS:
  1. Double-click the downloaded DMG file to mount itRight-click “IntersetTracker-PrinterHub Installer.app” and select “Open”Click “Open” in the security dialog that appears. Follow the installation wizard. The service will start automatically
  Note: macOS Gatekeeper may block the installer because it’s not yet code-signed.
  Right-clicking and choosing “Open” bypasses this security check safely.
  Alternative: Go to System Settings → Privacy & Security → General → scroll down and click “Open Anyway”

Installation Guide for Windows OS

• Download for Windows: https://app.interesttracker.org/InterestTracker-PrinterHub-Setup-1.0.0.exe
• Installation for Windows:
  1. Download and run the installer executable
  2. If you see a security warning: Click “More info” → “Run anyway”
  3. Follow the installation wizard
  4. Keep “Start automatically when Windows starts” CHECKED (recommended)
  5. Complete the installation
  ✅ One-Time Setup! Once installed with autostart enabled, PrinterHub will run automatically every time you restart your computer. No need to manually start it again!Note: Windows SmartScreen may show a warning because the installer is not yet code-signed.
  This is normal for open-source software. The installer is safe to run.

How to verify PrinterHub is running:

• Open http://localhost:5000 in your browser
• You should see the PrinterHub Swagger API documentation

Printer Sources:

• System Printers: All printers installed on your local system
• Browser Print Dialog: Uses your browser’s built-in print dialog (always available as fallback)
